Carpenter Financial Services is excited to announce that Robert J. Sekerak, Jr., who has been a member of the team on a limited basis since 2010, is now stepping into a full-time role as Financial Services Associate.
Robert, who is Joe Carpenter’s son-in-law, brings a wealth of experience in finance, leadership, and education to his expanded position, where his commitment and expertise will further enhance the firm’s ability to serve its clients.
Robert previously held a successful 18-year career at Penn Highlands Community College, where he advanced through various leadership roles to ultimately serve as the Regional Site Director for Ebensburg and Somerset County. During his time there, he oversaw two college locations, mentored high school students, supported student services, and provided career counseling.
Robert is a licensed financial professional, holding Series 6, Series 63, and Pennsylvania Life and Health Insurance licenses. He earned two Associate of Applied Science degrees from Penn Highlands Community College—one in Business Management and one in Accounting—both with Dean’s List recognition. Additionally, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Development and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership, both with honors, from Geneva College.
Robert also brings a heart for community service, volunteering for programs such as Sheetz for Kidz Christmas, United Way Day of Caring, and the Major League Baseball Youth Home Run Derby. He served as a member of advisory councils for the Indiana Career and Technical Center, Penns Manor School District, and United School District.
Robert resides in Nanty Glo with his wife, Christiana, and their two daughters.
"Having Robert join us full-time is an exciting step forward for Carpenter Financial Services," said Joe Carpenter, co-owner of Carpenter Financial Services. "His dedication to our clients, his expertise, and his passion for helping others make him a tremendous asset to our team."
