Financial Service Process

What should I expect?

Step 1* – Discuss and Review Current Financial Plan
You will meet with one of our experienced financial advisors to have an in depth discussion of your current financial situation including your assets, income and expenses as well as your personal goals for retirement, college, legacy planning and other areas of interest.

You will need to bring the following documents to our meeting:
  • Most recent income tax return
  • Form W-2s
  • Investment statements:  Mutual Funds, Annuities, CDs
  • Retirement Statements:  401k plans, IRAs, Roth IRAs, SEP plans, 403(b) plans
  • Pension Estimates
  • Social Security Estimate or if you are collecting, the amount
  • Current pay statement
  • Bank statements
  • Life insurance statements or policy information
  • College Plan statements:  529 plans, UTMAs
  • Estate Planning documents

Please remember that all data reviewed is held under extreme confidence. It is pertinent that a financial advisor discuss the above items as well as your future goals before a recommendation can be made.

Step 2* – Discuss Gaps in your Plan and Review Alternatives
At this point, we will point out any gaps you have in your financial plan then we will work with you to develop a customized strategy to help you improve your plan. We will recommend services or products to help you fill those gaps or we will refer you to another resource.

Step 3* – Implement your Customized Strategy
This next phase is where we implement the strategy that was agreed upon by using a combination of products and services from cash to fixed income to equities or insurance products.

Step 4* – Monitor Investment Strategy
We will monitor your plan on a continuous basis and attempt to contact you when we feel that a change in your strategy should be considered. We will try to keep you abreast of any significant changes in investments, insurance and income taxes. We also have over 100 years of combined income tax experience so we are always looking for a way to help you save on taxes.

Step 5* – Annual Review Meeting
We recommend that you sit down with your advisor to review the progress of your financial strategy at least annually, but we are always eager to help you with any financial matter you may have in the interim and welcome additional meetings or phone calls at your request.
